Egoism is examined here through everyday reactions - self-pity, pride, grievances, and demands. The seminar will help notice how attention gets stuck on personal experiences and gently shift the conversation towards supporting others and honest self-analysis. The seminar is dedicated to the topic of egoism - a state that can subtly govern decisions, relationships, and self-perception. The starting point will be a phrase from a book: "Egoism, egoism! In this, we believe, lies the root of all our problems." It will be analyzed through understandable life situations where a person feels either "worse than everyone" and falls into self-pity, or considers themselves "better than everyone" and finds themselves under the sway of pride. The organizers suggest looking at the ego not as an abstract concept, but as a set of recognizable everyday mechanisms. We know what to see in St. Petersburg.
