Anna Novikova's practical workshop will show how personal observations, archives, and urban impressions turn into an exhibition idea. Participants will analyze the stages of curatorial work, try to build a visual narrative, and understand how the emotions of residents become part of the overall image of the city and the future exhibition. Urban impressions often remain fragmented: photos on the phone, notes after walks, family archives, drawings, sound fragments, personal routes, and short stories about places. In the practical session, these materials are considered the basis for a future exhibition project, where private experience can become part of the general conversation about the city. Participants will get acquainted with the basic stages of curatorial work. The discussion will cover material selection, systematization of personal archives, finding connections between objects, building a visual narrative, and working with space. Special attention will be paid to accompanying texts: they help the viewer navigate the project, read the tone, and understand why different images, documents, or art objects are placed together.
