From August 30 to September 2, the 'Illuzion' cinema will hold a retrospective of Pyotr Todorovsky - one of the most recognizable directors of Soviet cinema. Pyotr Todorovsky is an author whose name is etched in the history of Soviet cinema. A laureate of the 'Nika' award and an Oscar nominee for the drama 'Military Field Romance', he managed to combine the intimacy of storytelling with the scale of time, and the personal stories of characters with changes in society. His films are recognizable for their gentle humor, attention to detail, and warm humanity. At the retrospective, viewers will see works that reflect different facets of his talent: from light ironic melodrama to sharp social drama. The program includes 'The Favorite Woman of Mechanic Gavrilov', a lyrical comedy about a failed wedding and the power of chance; the musical film 'Down the Main Street with the Orchestra' about a sharp turn in life; 'Interdevochka' - a social drama that became a symbol of the late 80s and a new era.
