Three films by Hayao Miyazaki will alternate on the big screen: the mystical coming-of-age story of Chihiro, the airborne adventures of Porco Rosso, and the magical tale of Sophie and Howl. The night marathon will begin with "Spirited Away" and the story of Chihiro-a girl who accidentally finds herself in the spirit world with her parents. When the adults turn into pigs, she must abandon her usual helplessness, get a job with the witch Yubaba, and find her way home on her own. The next part of the program is the film "Porco Rosso." Former military pilot Marco Pagot, known as Porco Rosso, hunts air pirates and hides his disappointment in humanity behind irony. The finale will be "Howl's Moving Castle"-a fairy tale about Sophie, who is cursed to become an old woman. Leaving her hometown, she finds herself in the moving castle of the wizard Howl and makes a deal with the fire demon Calcifer. The total duration of the program is 337 minutes.
