About

The ATOM Museum celebrates significant dates in Russia's exploration of the Northern Sea Route every month. The upcoming event program will provide a new perspective on the past, present, and future of the Arctic - through science, creativity, and live communication. On July 30, 2013, the nuclear icebreaker "50 Years of Victory" reached the North Pole for the hundredth time in the history of navigation. This anniversary became an important milestone in the exploration of the Arctic. In honor of the event, the ATOM Museum has prepared a program for the whole family. On July 30 at 12:00 and 14:00, guided tours "Conquering the Arctic!" will take place at the museum for everyone who wants to learn how the icebreaker fleet was created, why the Northern Sea Route was explored, and how modern vessels operate today. At 13:00, a workshop "Icebreaker in Your Pocket" will be held for children aged 6-9, where kids will build a moving model of the vessel together with their parents. At 17:15, a session "Journey on an Icebreaker" awaits children aged 3-5 with an interesting story and an origami workshop. On July 31 at 17:00, a quiz "Through Arctic Ice" will start for teenagers and adults. The questions will cover everything from the exploration of the North to Arctic fairy tales. You can participate with a team or join other players. For more details and to view the full program, please visit the website.
