How do moose live in the wild? What do they eat, how do they communicate, and why are they considered one of the most mysterious inhabitants of Russian forests? In a session with an ecologist, children will get acquainted with the world of moose, see nature albums, and even make a Christmas tree ornament out of paper. Huge, powerful, with antlers resembling antennas - moose have always attracted people's attention. They seem majestic and a bit mysterious. Some have seen them only in zoos, some have caught a glimpse of them in the forest, while others cannot imagine how they live at all. To learn more about them, you don't need to travel to the taiga. Just come to an educational session that will take place in the Children's Room of the Russian State Children's Library. An environmental education specialist from the eco-center "Moose Island," Olga Kovba, will explain how moose live in the park: where they inhabit, what they eat, how they survive the winter, and how they recognize each other in the dense forest. The discussion will also cover why moose are considered a symbol of Russia's wild nature and the impact of humans on their habitat. The session is suitable for children aged 5 to 9.
