An interactive session will introduce children to a Nanai fairy tale. The kids will hear the story of Ayoga, try to act it out in roles, and create a craft in a national style. A fairy tale is most interesting when a child not only listens to it but can live it through voice, movement, and play. This session is built on that principle. The focus is on the Nanai fairy tale about Ayoga, a girl who was loved, spoiled, and allowed many things. Children will learn about the folklore of the peoples of Siberia, the Far East, and the Arctic and see how important ideas about character, behavior, and relationships between people are conveyed in a fairy tale form. The session is based on methods of theatrical improvisation and socio-playful learning style. For children aged five to eight, this is a particularly successful combination: it supports natural curiosity, develops speech, imagination, communication skills, and trains the ability to perform in front of others.
