The children's program will showcase botany as a living science that can be studied right on a walk. Spring and early summer are the times when botany is easiest to understand not from textbooks, but through living plants. The children's program is organized as a research walk: participants will view the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin through the eyes of scientists who notice the shape of flowers, scents, methods of pollination, and future fruits. During the session, children will visually learn about the structure of flowers and follow the process of pollination. Essential oils will help engage the sense of smell: the aroma will become another way to study plants and remember their features. A separate part of the program is related to the language of flowers - participants will create bouquets for each other and try to guess the folk names of the plants.
