At the end of August, two special screenings of the cult anime by Mamoru Oshii "Ghost in the Shell" will take place in the "Moskino Cosmos" hall. The legendary animated film from 1995 is based on the manga by Masamune Shirow and has become a landmark phenomenon in world culture since its release. The action unfolds in a near-future Japan, where the development of cybernetics has allowed humans to replace organs and entire body parts with artificial prosthetics. In this world, on the edge of reality and digital space, operates Section 9 - an elite security unit fighting high-tech criminals. Major Motoko Kusanagi, one of the department's best agents, is assigned to track down a dangerous hacker known as the Puppet Master, who can penetrate people's consciousness and control their actions. The investigation gradually turns into a personal trial for her and makes her ponder where the line between human and machine lies. "Ghost in the Shell" is not just a dynamic story, but a powerful visual experience, where the intricately drawn city of the future, cold tones, and the play of light and shadow create a special atmosphere. The film captivates the viewer with its dark yet mesmerizing world, and combined with its philosophical undertones, it becomes a work that one wants to revisit again and again. The evening at "Moskino Cosmos" will be an opportunity to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of classic anime on the big screen, where every frame unfolds in full volume. The first screening will take place on August 25 and will be presented in the original Japanese language with Russian subtitles. The second, scheduled for August 27, will be shown in the dubbing of the "Reanimedia" studio. Both evenings will be opened with an introductory speech by film critic and author of the anime channel "Pokeball with Prediction" Sergey Sergienko, who will share the context of the film's creation and its impact on modern culture.
