At the cultural center "Inspiration", one of the most poetic animated versions of the Russian folk tale will be shown - the animated film by Mikhail Tsekhanovsky "The Frog Princess" from 1954. The author's interpretation of the classic folk plot, created by the outstanding director and animator Mikhail Tsekhanovsky, became a gem of Soviet animation in the mid-20th century. This work remarkably combines traditional folklore motifs with an exquisite visual style inspired by Russian painting and folk ornamental aesthetics. At the center of the story is Ivan Tsarevich, who, by the will of fate, is destined for an unusual bride. By their father's order, three brothers shoot arrows in different directions to let fate guide them to their wives. Ivan's arrow falls into a swamp - right to a frog, which soon turns out to be not just an ordinary swamp dweller, but a cursed princess. Tsekhanovsky's animated film impresses with its attention to detail, soft plasticity of movement, and musicality. The artists of the "Lenfilm" studio created true living illustrations for the tale, where each frame breathes magic. Admission is free, but prior registration is required.
