An adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov's novella - a biting satire about man, the power of experimentation, and the limits of altering nature. The plot begins with a daring scientific experiment by Professor Preobrazhensky: a stray dog named Sharik is given human organs, and the harmless animal transforms into Poligraf Sharikov. This almost fantastical setup quickly turns into a discussion about upbringing, responsibility, and the temptation to change the world through brute force. The film combines satire, drama, and a disturbing parable about human nature.
