The bookstore "Order of Words" will participate in the memorial festival for Sergey Dovlatov "Day D" and will hold a screening of the rare film by Boris Frumin "Mistakes of Youth" followed by an online meeting with the director. The film "Mistakes of Youth," shot in 1977 at "Lenfilm," turned out to be one of the most dramatic stories in Soviet cinema. The film was not only "shelved" but also nearly destroyed, and later restored from surviving fragments. Its tone broke away from the usual Soviet cinema of the late 70s - it was not anti-Soviet in nature, but showed life without embellishments, painfully and honestly. "Mistakes of Youth" is called a "non-Soviet" film, born against the system - a "lawless flower" that grew on Leningrad soil. Its restored screening provides a rare opportunity to see the film in the form it could have entered history if not for long years of oblivion. This is a rare chance to touch a cinematic legend that embodied the atmosphere of the late 70s in its authentic, unvarnished form.
