The screening of the crime drama by Petr Buslov on original 35mm film will bring back the nervous rhythm of the early 2000s: night roads, a black BMW, a getaway from Moscow, and the music of Sergey Shnurov. The story begins with a chase: four friends, after a conflict, find themselves outside the law, steal a BMW, and flee the capital along dark roads, sinking deeper into the Russian provinces. The film features a recognizable visual code of the era, a rough romance of the roads, fear of choices without a way back, and a sense of time when rules seemed to have disappeared, and every decision had to be paid for immediately. The cast, including Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Andrey Merzlikin, Maxim Konovalov, and Sergey Gorobchenko, conveys the nervous pace of the story without unnecessary smoothness: the characters seem simultaneously dangerous, confused, and doomed. A special place is occupied by the music of Sergey Shnurov. In 2004, the film won the Nika Award for Best Musical Score.
