The film tells the story of businessman Vyacheslav, who returns to the Tunka Valley to take his mother to the city. However, her refusal, everyday difficulties, and problems of rural life delay the hero at home and force him to see anew the place he once left and the people he is connected to. The story begins with a return. Successful businessman Vyacheslav arrives in the Tunka Valley, his small homeland, with a clear and practical goal: to take his mother to the city so she can live near him and be looked after. At first, this seems like a mature decision from someone who has organized his life and now wants to set things right in family matters. But at home, everything turns out to be more complicated than planned. His mother does not want to move. For her, the native place is not a set of everyday inconveniences, but a familiar way of life, memories, neighbors, land, and a sense of home. Vyacheslav has to stay longer, and with each passing day, he increasingly confronts what he may have become unaccustomed to: small breakdowns, unresolved issues, rural fatigue, human requests, and situations where one cannot quickly buy, arrange, or transfer everything to the city.
