The Moscow House of Gogol announces the tour "From Gogol's House to Pashkov's House," dedicated to the celebration of Library Day. The event will turn participants into travelers through historical sites related to the life and work of Nikolai Gogol. The tour will start at the entrance to Gogol's House and will offer a unique opportunity to walk along the route that the writer often chose while visiting the Tolstoy family on Nikitsky Boulevard. Participants will walk through historic streets where the writer enjoyed strolls, including Vozdvizhenka and Starovagankovsky Lane. Along the way, travelers will visit the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, where Gogol often went. Special attention will be given to ancient icons and a wooden statue of the saint, which is a unique work of art. Legends and historical facts related to each location on the route will also be discussed. The tour will conclude at the "Alexander Garden" metro station, near the Kutafya Tower, where participants can reflect on the layers of history preserved in the architecture and spirit of old Moscow.
