Participants of the walk will pass through the park and the ancient estate to the banks of the Yauza. Familiar streets will gain new meanings, and the figure of Nikolai Karamzin will become closer and clearer. This walk connects the biography of Nikolai Karamzin with an urban route. Participants will walk from the "Botanical Garden" metro station through the "Sviblovo Ponds" park to the Sviblovo estate - the place where Karamzin spent his summer months. The path will then continue along the Yauza and conclude at the "Babushkinskaya" metro station. The tour will be conducted by Elena Nikolaeva, head of the rare book department and memorial work at the Turgenev Library-Reading Room. The walk is suitable for those interested in literature, the history of Moscow, urban routes, and those who love to discover familiar areas through the biographies of famous people and cultural narratives. Where to go in Moscow on weekends will be suggested by our website.
