In this production, the director strictly adheres to his own credo - there should be no excesses or sick fantasies in the staging. Everything is maintained within the canons of the genre, the time and place of action are preserved; in a word, this production cannot be called "regoperatic"; it is as classical as it gets. The artists did an excellent job, especially costume designer G. Solovyeva. What happens on stage delights the eye every minute, bright, constantly changing, dynamic images greatly enliven and embellish the familiar plot. Choreographer N. Dolgushin also excels at overcoming the boredom inherent in many classical productions - the choreography in the production is beyond praise.
