Spanish choreographer Nacho Duato has staged his second opera - this time the lyrical "Eugene Onegin" by Tchaikovsky. "Eugene Onegin" in Nacho Duato's interpretation captivates with elegant images and the sophistication of neoclassicism. Along with the director, his permanent team created the stylish, immersive set design by Jaffar Chalabi, and the costumes were designed by Angelina Atlagich. The musical part is conducted by maestro Alexander Solovyov. The opera premiered in 1879 in Moscow, performed by conservatory students. The performance at the Mikhailovsky is also entrusted to young members of the opera troupe, who are capable of conveying the depth of the characters' feelings and the lyricism of this genius work.
