In a new large project by producer Dmitry Bogachev’s team ("The Phantom of the Opera", Mamma Mia!, "Chess", "Don’t Be Afraid, I’m with You", "Mamma Mimo!") the atmosphere of the festival in San Remo meets the resort Sochi of the 1980s, while the spirit of the best comedies by Leonid Gaidai, Georgy Danelia, and Eldar Ryazanov blends with the temperament of Italian disco. The main character of the story is hopelessly in love Dima Istomin, who, for the sake of the girl, embarks on a desperate adventure: he promises to bring the legendary Adriano Celentano to the City Day celebration. An innocent fantasy quickly turns into a dizzying scam with a brilliant forgery, romantic adventures, chases, jealousy, reckless acts, and a completely unpredictable finale. At the heart of the performance are 20 legendary hits by Adriano Celentano, Toto Cutugno, Joe Dassin, and Mireille Mathieu, including L’Italiano, Soli, Salut, Susanna, and Ciao Bambino Sorry. The familiar melodies have received a modern orchestral sound in rich arrangements by Evgeny Zagot, while preserving the drive and festive energy of the originals. Producer Dmitry Bogachev: "In the musical 'Everything Will Be Celentano!' - there is not a single filler song. Only super hits that are constantly played on the radio and in playlists. We obtained exclusive rights to create their Russian-language versions and use them in the production. These songs always create a sense of celebration, and our performance will become a celebration as well. I am sure that by the end the audience will be dancing - just like it was at every showing of 'Mamma Mia!'." Director Nina Chusova: "As a child, I was in love with Toto Cutugno, and now I feel like I am back in that world - sunny, light, full of love and adventures. This will be a true comedy journey: together with the audience, we will travel through the resort Sochi of the 80s, where almost every scene is a new bright location. And of course, this music is ageless - it instantly makes you happier." The Russian lyrics were written by poet and playwright Sergey Plotov - the author of more than 30 musicals, who managed to combine his signature style.
