About

From a chamber production, the comedic hit of the "Broadway Moscow" company has grown into a performance for the big stage: a new version of the pre-wedding chaos has "settled" in the "Mask" theater. Together with the musical "First Date", the performance forms an original theatrical series. In "Valentine's Day", the perfect couple plans a wedding under extreme conditions of a strong desire to please all the guests - including exes and a distant grandfather. The impeccable relationship of the characters does not prevent them from forgetting their own ideas about the main day of their lives and starting to listen to the barrage of unsolicited advice that resonates in their heads in the voices of close and distant ones. The authors of the musical created a brilliant tutorial on "How to Organize the Wedding of Your Dreams and Not Go Crazy" - its credibility is enhanced by numerous comedic situations in which it is easy to recognize oneself. The updated "Valentine's Day" at the "Mask" has received spectacular visual solutions, but the main thing is the witty dialogues and modern humor refined in the spirit of the present day, which means that the story of Jess and David sounds even more relevant, funnier, and more touching. Dmitry Bogachyov, the general producer of the "Broadway Moscow" theater company: "We did 'Valentine's Day' after 'First Date', in which we told about the characters' acquaintance - with its emotional battle of confessions, complexes, disagreements, inner demons, and a couple of skeletons that fell out of the closet right on stage. In the finale - reconciliation, curtain, applause. A year later, they are again in that same bar where it all began: one day, one place, only now instead of a first date we have wedding planning. The cast is the same: he, she, and the bartender, who again sees everything, understands everything, and timely serves not only cocktails but also lines. The other characters live in the imagination of our heroes - we again use the same artistic device as in 'First Date', linking both performances not only by story but also by style." At "Broadway Moscow", they are confident that the plot of "Valentine's Day" is perfectly suited for the finale right on stage.
