The musical and artistic lecture about Mikalojus Čiurlionis combines piano music, painting, philosophy, and symbolism. Mikalojus Čiurlionis is a unique figure. A composer, artist, poet, and mystic, he embodied in his work the idea of the synthesis of the arts, where sound, color, and idea exist as a single field. The lecture will feature piano miniatures and instrumental compositions, accompanied by a display of paintings and a narrative about the era in which the composer lived and created. Čiurlionis became the founder of Lithuanian professional music and one of the first Russian symbolists and impressionists. His works combine metaphysics, philosophy, and deep emotionality. The music and paintings he created present a way to penetrate the structure of the world. The paintings are filled with mythopoetics, while the melodies are imbued with inner light and cosmic aspiration. His creativity is compared to a revelation that cannot be fully deciphered but can be felt. The lecture will be conducted by Roman Chistyakov - composer, art historian, associate professor at Moscow State Pedagogical University, and member of the Union of Composers.
