Court Day is a reception day at the court that gave its name to the grand halls of palaces, where nobles, ambassadors, and ministers gathered for conversations, games, and chamber concerts. This form of social interaction emerged during the reign of Catherine I and became part of court culture, allowing monarchs to take a break from state affairs and spend time in an informal intellectual atmosphere. The Peterhof program of "Winter Court Days" brings guests back to this tradition: before the concert, a special tour of the grand halls of the Catherine Palace takes place, after which music is performed in the Yellow Hall. On December 13, a concert "Music for Flute and Cello" will feature compositions by Arcangelo Corelli, Jean Sibelius, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Alexandra Zabaikina and Natalia Ozonova. On December 21, the program "Astor Piazzolla: Angel and Devil" will reveal a new sound of tango. It will be performed by Alexandra Zabaikina, Vladimir Efimov, Ilya Lisovsky, and Olga Gornostai. On December 28, "Music for Flute and Celtic Harp" will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georges Bizet, Antonio Vivaldi, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Edvard Grieg, Franz Schubert, and Claude Debussy.
