A monologue by Alexander Mitskevich based on the texts of Joseph Brodsky, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and contemporary poet Fyodor Svarovsky. Actor and author of the performance Alexander Mitskevich invites the audience to journey from darkness to light. The artist has worked with Brodsky's works and studied the poet's biography for almost two decades, and this monologue became an opportunity for him to summarize some insights. The premiere of the performance took place in 2023 in Minsk. In St. Petersburg, the production was shown at various venues, including the Theater Museum and the Sheremetev Palace. In his performance, Alexander Mitskevich presents a cohesive statement on themes that concern everyone: love and separation, successes and disappointments, the unpredictability of life, and new hope for happiness. In addition to Brodsky's works, the performance features poems by Vladimir Mayakovsky and Fyodor Svarovsky. Photo: provided by the organizer.
