The sixth International Festival NUR will introduce guests to the concept of media art and transform Kazan into a center of contemporary creativity. The program will be enriched with new formats and will become even more grandiose! This year, the International Festival NUR will take place in the capital of Tatarstan from May 28 to 31. Guests of this grand celebration of media art can expect a magnificent audiovisual show, installations in more than 10 locations, and even mapping on the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin. The educational program includes engaging lectures and discussions. The music program will combine sets from DJs and live performances by artists from various genres. A new venue for the festival will be the cluster around the Uram extreme park for the first time. This is a convenient starting point for the festival journey: installations, a lecture hall, partner zones, a food court, and festival activities will be located here. The second venue of the festival will be situated in the historic center of the thousand-year-old city. Installations and performances will take place in the areas of architectural and cultural monuments, as well as in public spaces. Some locations and events are already known, including a concert of humanoid robots at the Demidov Mansion (authors Dmitry Masaidov and Nikolai Popov), the premiere of an audiovisual installation at the former Adonis factory, an interactive light installation involving viewers from South Korea, and a large art object at the Kazan State Circus arena. A special event in the program will be a night rave on May 30. On this evening, the indoor tennis court will for the first time change its usual purpose and transform into a large venue for self-expression of electronic scene artists. Guests can expect complete immersion in the atmosphere due to a powerful audiovisual show and live performances. The first wave of the lineup includes talented musicians from Russia and other countries: Police in Paris, Ivan Logos, Novikov, Alfij. Their performances will feature everything from canonical techno to bold sound experiments.
