From August 24 to September 2, the cinema 'Rodina' will be the venue for the international short film festival shnit worldwide shortsfestival. Audiences can expect national and international competitions, premieres, and films that have already been recognized at major film showcases around the world. The shnit festival has established itself over more than a decade as an authoritative event in the cultural life of St. Petersburg for showcasing the best short films from around the globe. This year’s program includes over 70 films of various genres-from documentaries and animation to avant-garde experiments and gripping dramas. The international competition will present works by directors whose films have received acclaim at global festivals.
