Hits of Chinese cinema from recent years will be showcased at the 'Illuzion'. The program includes films of various genres, a meeting with producer Li Yaping, and a festive atmosphere. From June 8 to 14, free screenings of Chinese box office hits will take place at the 'Illuzion', as well as the Russo-Chinese film 'Red Silk' and Sergey Korotaev's film 'Not on the Lists'. All screenings are free, but prior registration is required. After the grand opening ceremony on June 8, the film 'Lychee from Chang'an' will be screened. The plot of the adventure comedy based on Ma Boyun's novel unfolds in the 8th century. The main character, a low-ranking official, receives an enviable position as a 'lychee envoy', which promises wealth and fame, but in case of failure, he will have to pay a much higher price. After the screening, the audience will meet with the film's producer Li Yaping. Additionally, actors and producers from other festival films are invited to the opening. In the following days of the festival, screenings will include the detective thriller with Jackie Chan 'Shadow Hunt' (2025), the war drama 'Gechzhi Town' (2025), the melodrama 'Love Letters from Tibet' (2026), and the historical drama based on true events 'Where the Sea Meets the Steppe' (2022), as well as the animated feature '30,000 Li to Chang'an'. Furthermore, the program includes the Russo-Chinese action film 'Red Silk' (directed by Andrei Volgin), set in 1927 on the Trans-Siberian Railway. The program will conclude with the Russian film 'Not on the Lists' from 2025, dedicated to the heroic defense of Brest Fortress. The festival will also take place in Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok. The festival organizers are ROSKINO in collaboration with the Chinese Center for Film Art Research, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the State Administration of Film of China.
