On October 26, the Cinema Museum will celebrate International Animation Day - a holiday that brings together viewers of all ages. The program includes masterpieces by Vladislav Starevich, modern short films from 'Soyuzmultfilm', and creative workshops for children and adults. This day will be a true journey through the history of domestic animation - from Starevich's first experiments with animated beetles to the clay heroes of the 21st century. Audiences will see the world's first puppet films from the 1910s, where picturesque forest characters and insects gain individuality and character: 'The Beautiful Lucanida', 'The Dragonfly and the Ant', 'The Revenge of the Cinematographer' and other short films will reveal the magical world of the first experiments with movement, light, and composition. Adults and children will also enjoy a selection of the latest films from 'Soyuzmultfilm', created with love and attention to detail. Among them is the kind animated film about dreams and overcoming 'The Little Boat That Wanted to Fly' by Ekaterina Filippova and 'Socks for a Star' by Olga Titova - a story about support and friendship. During Animation Day, viewers will have the opportunity to try their hand at creativity: - in the workshop 'Plasticine Fairy Tale', participants will create their own characters and short scenes in the technique of plasticine animation; - the master class 'What Makes Animated Characters Memorable?' will reveal the secrets of expressive characters and offer to come up with their own 'story cube'; - at the meeting 'Living Beetles of Vladislav Starevich', participants will learn how the first animated puppets were created and will make their own insects for a mini-film.
