Creating worlds in virtual reality is something everyone can do! Participants in the masterclass will get acquainted with the Varwin constructor and try to assemble their own virtual spaces. It seems that creating a virtual world requires writing complex code, but this masterclass is set up differently. Participants are invited to look at VR as a constructor: there are ready-made objects, blocks, and scenes that can be assembled like a puzzle. To create such a digital space, it is enough to have basic computer skills. The instructor will explain how convenient Varwin is and how it helps teachers, companies, and enthusiasts to assemble interactive scenes without learning programming. A significant part of the session is dedicated to practice. Participants will work on computers, assembling small scenes - a room, a laboratory, or a learning space. The instructor and the media lab team will guide participants on where everything is located, leaving them the freedom to experiment and make their own decisions. At the end, participants will be informed about how to continue working with the constructor on their personal laptops, the installation requirements, and how to find materials. The masterclass will be interesting for teenagers and adults. Ideas on where to go in Moscow are collected on our website.
