Participants of the masterclass will learn how animals became clan symbols, explore real and mythical images, and then each will try to choose a totem that resonates personally with them. In fairy tales, the fox can embody cunning, the bear - strength, the bird - freedom, and the fantastic beast - combine the qualities of several beings. The images of animals have long helped people express fears, hopes, the structure of society, and the connection between humans and nature. In the masterclass, participants will explore this topic through psychological and creative practice. The conversation will begin with ideas about the totem - an animal that was associated with a specific clan and perceived as a guardian. Participants will discuss why different communities chose specific animals and what traits they could see in their behavior. Then each will try to understand which image evokes the strongest response in them. The meeting will be conducted by Victoria Tyulyakova - psychologist at RGBM and Jungian analyst.
