In the masterclass and astrophysics, children and adults will dive into the depths of space. This session will be interesting for anyone eager to learn as much as possible about space. How did astronomers of past centuries determine the distance to stars, and how is it measured today? Geometry and physics will help answer these questions. Participants in the masterclass will get acquainted with the methods used by scientists of the past, and then with modern methods of radar and gravitational lensing. The instructor will also share interesting facts about celestial bodies, introduce the theory of relativity, Hubble's law, and the theory of the universe's birth. Group gathering begins 20 minutes before the session in the museum lobby. 5 minutes before the session, the group will be led to the Laboratory on the third floor of the museum.
