The Museum of Russian Life "Izba-Zabava" immerses guests in a living craft tradition. Here, everyone can turn a wooden blank into a bright matryoshka - the keeper of the home hearth. Matryoshka painting is a tradition that has come down to us from the depths of centuries. At the Museum of Russian Life "Izba-Zabava", everyone can get acquainted with the ancient craft and paint a wooden matryoshka-box with their own hands. No special drawing skills are required to participate in the master classes. Participants will paint a 14-centimeter tall matryoshka-box with acrylic paints. The festive and functional toy will become a decoration for the home and your own, unique souvenir. After the creative process, guests can relax and share impressions over a cup of fragrant tea with traditional Russian treats - the tea is free. The master class is conducted under the guidance of an experienced master who will introduce traditional paintings, help compose a composition, and bring your ideas to life. All necessary materials - wooden blanks, brushes, acrylic paints - will be provided to participants on-site. There are two types of blanks available for painting: a traditional matryoshka (nesting) and a matryoshka that does not fall over. The special atmosphere of the master class is enhanced by the museum's decor: guests create surrounded by ancient peasant household items that can be touched, and some can even be actively interacted with. The exhibition is complemented by a variety of kokoshniks that can be tried on and photographed for memories. Details and ticket purchases can be found on the official website and VKontakte.
