Words from old magazines will turn into a personal text collage, assembled without a pre-conceived plot. Sometimes it is difficult to describe an inner state with a coherent narrative. Thoughts slip away, familiar phrases seem too general, and important feelings remain unnamed. In the masterclass, participants will try another way to talk to themselves - through randomly found words, images, and associations. The basis will be the technique of text collage. From old magazines and newspapers, everyone will cut out individual phrases, headlines, and word combinations, and then assemble them into their own letter. There will be no need to think ahead about a theme or search for the right composition: the meaning will gradually reveal itself as fragments are chosen and connected. The resulting text can become a blessing, support, a question to oneself, or an accurate formulation of what was previously felt vaguely. The masterclass is built on the principles of art therapy, where creativity helps to express experiences symbolically. Literary abilities, cutting accuracy, or artistic taste are not evaluated here. Such a process helps to slow down, switch from everyday tasks, and listen to oneself more attentively. Participants will not need special skills or preparation; all materials will be provided on-site. The session will be conducted by Maria Efimova - psychologist at RGBM and psychoanalyst.
