This creative meeting, dedicated to one of Dylan Thomas's most touching texts, will take place in a workshop format - with a mini-lecture, joint reading and discussion, as well as the opportunity to express personal perception in written form. "A Child's Christmas in Wales" is a "prose poem" where the plot is tinted with the soft light of memories. The poet recounts his childhood years in Swansea, a Welsh coastal town. In his work, Christmas family coziness, snow, songs, the light of night lamps, and the mysteries of the adult world intertwine. Through details, images, and rhythms, Thomas brings to life the childhood experience familiar to everyone - when the holiday feels almost magical. At the meeting, participants will not only read and discuss the text but also try to create their own miniature. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in English literature, poetry, the Christmas theme, or who wants to practice reading and analysis in a small group.
