A bit of history, a bit of practice - and the sea is already calling to set sail! If a pirate adventure starts with a treasure map, this time it will begin with... rope! In the masterclass 'Pirate Workshop', children will learn how to turn ordinary twine into a real nautical bracelet that could be worn by a ship's captain or his loyal assistant. Participants will master the technique of the reef knot - an ancient maritime skill used as far back as Ancient Greece and Egypt. Sailors used it to 'take in reefs' - reducing the sail area in strong winds. Now this skill will become not just a useful detail, but the basis for a stylish accessory that can be gifted to a friend or kept as a symbol of the journey taken. Under the guidance of Ekaterina Miroshnikova and Oksana Chernatova, children will step by step assemble the bracelet while learning how the history of knots is connected to maritime traditions and books about pirates.
