In the New Year program at the "ATOM" Museum, children and parents immerse themselves in science, conduct exciting experiments, and create unusual New Year decorations. This time, the theme of the class is New Year garlands! Electric garlands are an essential part of the New Year miracle, as without them, the long-awaited "tree, light up!" will not happen. In the master class, which will take place in a real laboratory, children and adults will be offered a scientific perspective on glowing decor. Guests will learn about the history of the first sources of electricity and find out who initially needed electricity so much. Additionally, the host will tell who invented the first festive garland of light bulbs, what it looked like, and how it changed over time. Participants will discover what processes occur inside the garland to produce light. In the practical part, children and parents will assemble an electric circuit and learn how to repair the garland in case of minor malfunctions. Furthermore, participants will create a tree with colorful lights. Gathering of participants will start 20 minutes before the master class in the museum lobby; the organizers ask not to be late.
