Participants of the masterclass will learn how everyday items became musical instruments, practice simple tunes, and discover that music can be born from almost nothing. Since ancient times, people have known that music can be created using ordinary objects, voices, and clapping hands. Participants in this fun masterclass will get acquainted with unusual folk "instruments" and try to perform simple tunes. Guests of the session will learn how to produce sound from ordinary items and find musicality where it is usually not sought. This approach well conveys the spirit of folk culture: communication, resourcefulness, and enjoyment of joint action are important. Even those who have never held musical instruments in their hands will be able to participate in making music. The hosts of the masterclass are folklorist and singer Maria Erokhina and teacher Olga Plastinkina. Ideas on where to go in Moscow are collected on our website.
