The "ATOM" Museum invites you to embark on an exciting journey into the world of quanta. In this masterclass, kids aged 14 and older will get acquainted with the photon - an indivisible particle of light. Light consists of a stream of photons, indivisible particles. Thanks to them, photosynthesis occurs, and they also form the basis of many modern technologies. For example, photons can be used to transmit information over vast distances, charge household appliances, and even power satellites in orbit. The masterclass dedicated to photons will be one of the first events in the new quantum classroom of the "ATOM" Museum. Participants will learn how scientists managed to make a breakthrough in physics and "see" individual photons. Then, the kids will get to know single-photon detectors, experiment with them, and see how photons become carriers of information. The masterclass is designed for 10 people.
