The appliqué masterclass will show how the ornaments of different peoples can become an expressive decoration of modern clothing. Ornament in clothing can serve as decoration, a sign of tradition, the character of the item, and a personal expression of the author. In the masterclass, participants will get acquainted with folk art patterns and try to use them in the decoration of modern costumes. The focus of the session is on the appliqué technique: from separate fragments, colors, shapes, and rhythms, a personal decorative work will be created.
