What is light, why do we see the world in different colors, and how do other creatures, like insects, see it? Answers to these questions, as well as exciting experiments, await children at the "ATOM" Museum. The series of physics classes continues with a masterclass for children aged 10-12, dedicated to color and light. The class will be conducted by Maria Korotkova, a science popularizer among children and youth, researcher, and scientific associate of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The expert will demonstrate optical phenomena and practical spectrometry. The children will see how to decompose a beam of light into a color spectrum, learn what colors insects see, and how light filters work. Additionally, they will be able to examine under a microscope the crystals that participants grew in the first class of the series. 20 minutes before the start of the class, participants should arrive at the meeting point in the museum foyer near the "Sphere" object.
