Celebrate Maslenitsa joyfully with the whole family: guests will enjoy games, workshops, quests, and festive animal feedings. The culmination will be a symbolic farewell to winter... with the help of the bear Kharchana and her teeth! On February 21, guests of the Leningrad Zoo can expect a bright celebration of Maslenitsa with folk games, music, and traditional entertainment. The program includes round dances, a performance by a folklore ensemble, a Maslenitsa train, dances, and themed photo zones with fairy-tale characters and a large matryoshka. Visitors will be able to create their own carnival masks at a workshop and participate in a quest with tasks, for which they will be rewarded with pancakes. A special part of the celebration will be the demonstration feedings of animals. Visitors will see how Cameroon goats, iguanas, turtles, wolves, big cats, birds, and other inhabitants are fed, and they will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the specialists who care for the animals. A horse show and interactive activities for the whole family are planned. The day will conclude with an unusual farewell to winter - the white bear Kharchana will deal with the symbolic scarecrow.
