Starting from Thursday, working was prohibited, but fun was encouraged: from horse riding to street fights and noisy feasts. On Friday, mother-in-law evenings were held, and guests were received, while on Saturday, sister-in-law gatherings were organized. On Forgiveness Sunday, the last day of Maslenitsa, one had to ask for forgiveness from loved ones and let go of all accumulated grievances. On this day, the Maslenitsa scarecrow was also burned.
