Improvised readings return in the format "In Roles". In this intimate literary event, listeners become performers. "In Roles: At the Table with the Poet" is a table in a "café" where the reader transforms into a performer. There is no pre-assigned cast; roles are distributed at the moment of the meeting, and each reading is born anew. This time, the focus is on the works of Alexander Griboedov, but not those included in the school curriculum, rather the lesser-known ones. Participants will look at the author outside of "Woe from Wit". By immersing themselves in the rhythm of the phrases and arranging their breath, they will see how the characters' personalities unfold in short monologues. The host, poet and philologist Anna Kharitonova, will set the tone and help maintain the rhythm. Participants choose where to place emphasis, how to play the pause, and how much to raise their voice.
