To celebrate the anniversary of the futurist poet Velimir Khlebnikov, a unique biopic play 'Velimir' will be presented at the Losev House. The poetry of Velimir Khlebnikov is a mirror of the avant-garde era. In the year marking the 140th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Russian futurism, the Losev House invites you to look behind the scenes of his fate through the play 'Velimir', written by playwright Olga Zaymenceva. This is currently the only theatrical biopic about Khlebnikov. The text was published in the authoritative literary magazine 'Ural', and will now be performed by the honored artist of Russia Alexander Rubtsov and other actors. The evening will be complemented by the graphics of the honored artist of Russia Stepan Botiyev - an illustrator of Khlebnikov's works and the author of the poet's monument in Kalmykia. The event will be interesting for anyone interested in the literature of the Silver Age, unconventional theatrical formats, and the legacy of Russian avant-gardists.
