A citywide memorial event where the names of the deceased residents of besieged Leningrad are read aloud. The event organized by the "September 8 Committee" has been taking place since 2018 and has gathered communities from yards, schools, libraries, museums, and city squares. Over seven years, 160,109 names have been pronounced out of approximately 700,000 known. The format is simple: lists are opened and names are read. This year, the Mayakovsky Library joins the event and invites residents to gather in the yard on the Fontanka. We share on KudaGo where to go in St. Petersburg this weekend for free.
