Two eras, two composers, one lost work - and an unusual musical-literary novella where symphony intertwines with prose. "The Hour Has Struck" is a live performance with an orchestra, artistic word, and a story in which Rimsky-Korsakov and Stravinsky unexpectedly become heroes of the present time. "The Hour Has Struck" is not just a concert, but a musical-dramatic narrative that connects the art of symphony with the magic of words. On stage is the Leningrad Regional Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Golikov, actors voicing the events, and a unique literary plot by Andrei Loginov, unfolding in two temporal planes: at the beginning of the 20th century and in our days. The center of the story is Stravinsky's "Funeral Song" - a real work written in his youth and long considered lost. In one of the plot lines, we find ourselves in the era of Stravinsky's apprenticeship under Rimsky-Korsakov, where brilliant ideas arise and disappear. In the second, we follow the modern story of the renovation of the conservatory building, which accidentally led to the return of the lost score. This is an artistic reconstruction of events, filled with facts, emotions, and cultural context. The program features actors Yana Leontyeva and Yuri Baltachev, who through artistic word add additional depth to the narrative. Together with the orchestra, they create a musical-literary landscape where every sound and every phrase lead the audience to the climax - the recreated sound of the "Funeral Song." The project was created by producer Violetta Prigozhina and represents a special form of stage expression: on one hand, it is an educational and enlightening gesture, and on the other, an emotional immersion into the mysteries and twists of musical history.
