A practical literary meeting dedicated to the secrets of Chekhov's writing and working with short forms. Participants will try to apply classic techniques in their own texts. The session will take place in a workshop format led by writer Kira Eastwood. Together with the host, participants will carefully analyze well-known stories by Anton Chekhov to understand what artistic solutions made them recognizable and in demand worldwide. The discussion will cover how the author's style changed - from light humorous sketches to deep, philosophical prose. During the workshop, participants will learn to see and create expressive details, write dialogues with internal tension and subtext, as well as build endings that leave room for reflection. Special attention will be paid to the principle of conciseness as a key tool for strong writing. In the practical part, everyone will try to come up with their own character using Chekhov's techniques and approaches to character and plot. Register here.
