Attendees will discover how the main genres of Chinese painting were formed, why their flourishing occurred in certain eras, and how the academic style differs from the free one. It will be interesting for anyone who wants to know more about Eastern culture. The lecture will be conducted by Olga Alexeeva - an architect, artist, and teacher who has studied Chinese painting for many years. Olga studied under the artist Li Yixiao, took lessons from masters of shui-mo, calligraphy, gongbi, and Chinese watercolor, and interned at Liaoning University in Anshan.
