About

You will learn how literary bores shape style, intrigue, and even genre. Together with professional writers and editors, participants will not only dive into the topic but also try to be creatively boring. In the world of literature, there are authors we recognize from the first line - pedantic, nitpicking, speaking with a dozen footnotes and clarifications. We tend to consider them boring, but is that really the case? What if boredom is a technique, a way of building character, a plot twist? If it is the engine of drama, a source of irony, and a catalyst for conflict? The lecture and masterclass as part of the "Writing and Text" club will be led by editor and writer Boris Sudakov and journalist and translator Nina Freiman. Register via the link. The poster for St. Petersburg is available on KudaGo.
