At the meeting, ornithologist and bioacoustician, senior researcher at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Biophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Arkhipov will explain how to create your own collection of recordings. The expert will explain how a field recorder differs from a phone recorder, why directional microphones, wind protection, and the correct distance from the bird are needed. Listeners will learn how to choose the right place and time and how not to scare off the singer in the bushes. A separate part of the lecture will be dedicated to analyzing recordings.
