The lecture offers a new perspective on the work of one of the main artists of the 20th century. Participants will dive into the philosophical ideas of Suprematism and learn how the cosmos and the music of spheres inspired Russian avant-gardists in their search for a new artistic reality. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the death of Kazimir Malevich - an artist without whom the history of modern art cannot be imagined. His name is associated with Suprematism, innovative searches for form and idea that transformed the understanding of painting. Guests of the lecture will be able to trace the evolution of Malevich's creative path: from early works inspired by folk art and Impressionism to revolutionary abstractions in which the artist attempted to express a pure idea - beyond time, plot, and subject.
